How to solve the problem of oil and water 

on laser cutting machine lenses?

If your laser cutting machine has just had its lens replaced and you find that the cutting quality is not ideal, or there is a large amount of oil and water on the lens, this may be due to a problem inside the cutting head. Here are some solutions to help you restore your laser cutting machine to normal operation.

Check the inside of the cutting head

Use photo paper to check the condition inside the cutting head. If there is oil, water, or other stains, clean them. Place the cutting head on a stool, then remove the copper nozzle and check for any abnormalities.

Optical path debugging

Depending on the specific conditions of the equipment, the optical path debugging time is usually set to 30 to 50 milliseconds. If there are black spots in the spot after debugging, it may be necessary to check the bottom of the cutting head.

Inspect the components

First, check whether there are any problems near the center. If necessary, remove the air pipe and seal the air pipe head to prevent dust from entering.

Then, remove the protective mirror and check whether there are any problems on its upper and lower surfaces. To prevent dust from entering, seal the lower part. Prepare a small Phillips screwdriver and a set of hex wrenches for disassembly and assembly.

Cleaning

Prepare alcohol, lint-free cloth, and cotton swabs, and clean all areas that need cleaning. Then, use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the cover plate and check for dust. If everything is normal, reinstall the cover plate.

Replacing the lens

Take a new lens and replace the old one. Before installing the new lens, make sure that both the lens and the mounting area are clean.

Inspection

After installing the new lens, the final step is to insert the air tube and then use photographic paper to check for black spots. If there are no black spots, it means that the lens inside the cutting head is working properly.

Testing

Perform a cutting test to check whether the cutting quality has returned to normal. If there are no burrs on the reverse side of the cut, then the fiber laser cutting machine has returned to normal operation.
